I see perfomance problems with newer Windows/Outlook version while handling calender and contacts in KOFF.
We have some older Windows terminal servers running 2008R2 and Outlook 2010. In this setting KOFF ist fast to do an initial sync an a fresh useer session.
If we setup the same user on a Windows 2019 RDS server with Outlook 2019 the same process takes a very long time to sync calender and contacts. It takes up to one second per contact. We have several contact folders to sync and some hold more then 1000 contacts.
The local DB is set to 30 days and will not be roamed. We use always the latest Kerio connect version. The servers running on SSD. No hardware bottleneck. We have to use 32bit Outlook. This is needed for external access from other programs over add-ons.
The calender sync seems to be a very special problem too. I try to reduce the content of the calender. How I do deal with old entrys in the calender? Some users have old entrys for more then 5 years and I cant find a right way to archive them. In Outlook I cant set the archivment function for a calender folder. But If I use the the cleanup funktion in Outlook and say 'handle all folders' theses Kerio calender entrys will moved to the archiv .pst. But this result in error messages for every moved entry and the user get a lot of them.
