macOS 10.12.3 and CardDAV problem [message #134186]

I recently discovered that all macOS 10.12.3 clients that reinstall through Connect Account Assistant, get problems with CardDAV. The OS claims that the account already exists does not accept changes to the account that's populated in "Internet Accounts" by the profile. There is also no way to manually define the account afterwards. Same error "This account already exists"

Anybody else seeing this problem?
