So far my experience with the desktop client (Windows 10 64-bit) has been fairly good, but I have had a few problems with it.
The way we operate at work, we are often not at the computer, we are nearby but not at the keyboard watching the screen. So, we rely on having an audible alert when new emails arrive. From what I can see, the desktop client only gives an audible alert for tasks and events, but not for emails. Surely this must be a bug? Right now, I get the desktop notification when a new email arrives, but no sound.
Also related to the above problem, we often have to monitor two email accounts at once. Obviously in Kero Connect you can only login one account at a time, so through the use of delegation and sharing, we have managed to be able to watch tawo accounts at once. However, when a new email arrives for the delegated account, there is no desktop notification at all. I only get a notification for new emails on the primary account. So, once again if I'm not actually sitting at the computer, I never know when an email arrives in the shared inbox.
And lastly, new email notifications only work for the inbox. We have some accounts which have filtering rules in place to automatically sort incoming emails into specific folders. This works fine except, once again, you don't get any new mail notification if it gets moved to another folder by the filtering rules. Is there a way we can have Kerio Connect give a notification for new emails that bypass the inbox and go straight into a different folder? I was able to do this in Thunderbird with a special plugin, but this would be a nice feature to have in Kerio Connect - the ability to check for new messages in any folder, not just the inbox.
We have been using Thunderbird in all our offices, but I would really like to switch everyone over to the Kerio Desktop Client. Unfortunately it still lacks features in the alert/notification area.
Any ideas?
