For me it points out hat there is no difference (here - with Kerio Connect) to rent a software then have Software Maintanance running.

The initial price to buy Kerio Connect means that you can keep after SWM the software with less features!

I can understand what Kerio does/needs. But now I have to compare Exchange and Kerio diffrently, because Exchange ist a one time buy for 5 maybe 6 years. And Kerio Connect is a one time (big) fee and yearly SWM you can't live without!

I still think Kerio is a great product. But we have a few customers running Exchange for 5 or 6 years without SWM and without any problem.

I did not compare the price between Exchange and Kerio for a few experimental payments, but I here often from our customers: We don't know what happen in a year or two.(we have the money now) For that reason we want a solution that we pay now and will work for years...
