I am having a difficult time figuring this issue out.

Workstaions: Windows 7 with IE 10.

Server: Windows Server 2008 running Kerio Connect 8.2.2

Email Client: Kerio Connect Client Webmail

Users that are on the same LAN as the email server can upload up to the 30MB mark we have set on the domain and webmail restrictions. For example, our users on the LAN can upload a ~29MB attachment without issue as they should.

If you use our public internet interface, everything also works as expected.

However, users on our WAN connections can not upload anything greater than about 1MB. We have many WAN's in a IPSEC HUB-SPOKE VPN configuration with the email server at the HUB point, and they are connected ranging from a regular T1, 50Mb Fiber, and 12Mb bonded T1's.

The old webmail works just fine as expected even at the WAN sites, but the "new" Kerio Connect Client will error during the upload process and with an click OK popup that states:

File Upload
It was not possible to upload file.

EDIT(s): It looks like IE9 and Chrome do not have this issue, as even across our WAN Chrome can upload 30MB attachments. Unfortunately, we have to use IE10.

I found this log in debug but it just basically seems to state the browser stopped sending data:
25/Feb/2014 18:35:26 3164 {webmail} Upload: Exception raised: code=-32603, message=Failed to read file from stream. The stream was prematurely closed.

I put IE10 in dev mode and ran a debug during the upload process and this is all I got:
HTML1524: Invalid DOCTYPE. The shortest valid doctype is "<!DOCTYPE html>".
index2.html, line 1 character 1
SCRIPT7002: XMLHttpRequest: Network Error 0x80000013, The object has been closed.

This happens over both HTTP and HTTPS.

It happens to all users who use the Kerio Connect Client who is not on a LAN. For example, if I log in from a LAN computer everything is OK, but if I drive to a remote site, I can't seem to attach anything over 1MB. The Old webmail works fine no matter where I am.

I figure since the difference is across a WAN and VPN tunnel, it must has to do something with the TCP stream, fragmented packets (we don't allow them), or some strange MTU issue, but I would rather not have to get wireshark on there to watch the HTTP to try and figure it out.

Anyone have this issue, and more importantly, does anyone have any ideas to fix the issue.
