QOS is now defined by limit and reserve rules.
I'd like to have rule with priority weights.
An example:
Rule1 : weight = 10
Rule2 : weight = 15
Rule3 : weight = 4
rule4 : weight = 1
(Total defined weight = 30)
The defined bandwidth is 100Mbit.
At the moment there is traffic on all rules, the bandwidth provided will be:
Rule1: 10/30*100 Mbit = 33 Mbit
Rule2: 15/30*100 Mbit = 50 Mbit
Rule3: 4/30*100 Mbit = 13 Mbit
Rule4: 1/30*100 Mbit = 3 Mbit
At the moment there is only traffic on rule2 and rule4 the bandwidth provided will be:
Rule2: 15/16*100 Mbit = 93 Mbit
Rule4: 1/16*100 Mbit = 6 Mbit
And when only one rule has traffic on it, it gets all.
Much more configurable with better bandwidth usage than is possible with reservations and limits.
