So...a systems engineer at a company I know got notice from their reseller. GFI is increasing their prices for legacy Kerio Connect users (probably all of us) starting july 10.
The reseller told them: please renew your license before that date. They have a 350 user license (with AV). Last year this was just below 4000 euro. After july 10 this will be a whopping 6700 euro.
That's a 68% price increase. Have GFI gone completely mad? I'm speechless.

Similar news reached me as well. Am currently migrating from onprem Kerio to mailbox.org. GFI is milking the bleeding product until the last drop. The onprem market completely dried up with the cloud providers. I prefer onprem, but there is too little players left in that market I'm afraid.

After experiencing GFI's capabilities first hand lately with the HTML display bug (solved after ~6 weeks) and the user profile corruption issue (10 weeks and counting), this would really be the nail in the coffin.
Such an increase would put Connect en par with a grommunio Business license (https://grommunio.com/de/produkt/) with more features, HA and scaling from what I see, what do we get in return when staying with Kerio?
PS: I didn't try any alternative yet, just started looking, not recommending anything. Not too many options when it comes to self-hosted solutions with Outlook support. Maybe we'll just ditch the latter, or Windows altogether.
