That specifically sucks not because of our small local instance but because we just chose Kerio for a project with ~1600 potential users with KOFF being the USP, and now we'll have to reevaluate. There's no central IT management involved to apply those workarounds in case such a situation arises again. Granted, that's not exactly an SMB deployment, but definitely "limited IT staff". We were aware that Outlook compatibility might break and that GFI's development is generally slow, but after using Connect for a long time we (naively) assumed that such an issue would be identified and solved proactively rather than after the fact only when a customer reports it, which is unsettling beyond small central deployments.

I'm a manager of a company with 46 workstations.
It is nearly impossible for me to downgrade all office installation because majority of our PC are non in the office.
I suppose that 2 weeks is more than enough time to find out a solution even because the office preview updates were laready showing the problem.
I hope the problem will be solved in the next couple of days otherwise we will be seriously think to change our mailing service.

You do realize that following the workaround will cut Outlook off from security updates, which is not a good idea,
especially for a mail program. In the past, Kerio sometimes provided patches for such serious problems after hours,
but at the latest after a few days. Our customers would be very happy to get something in return for their maintenance.

We are specialists for migrations from AVM KEN! 4 and David from Tobit.Software to Kerio Connect.

I am not satisfied with the solutions offered so far. And I'm also speaking on behalf of my maintenance contract paying customers. I also expect a solution from GFI that I can continue to use the KOFF, I don't have to uninstall Microsoft Update and I don't have to switch off the Office update function either. Pure web access is also unreasonable. It is probably possible that there will be a solution from the programmers at GFI in the near future. So why do customers pay? There are also other mail servers like Icewarp or Microsoft 365. It all takes too long for me!
In Deutsch!!

Terrence wrote on Fri, 03 June 2022 16:00Does anyone have any feedback on using the activesync connection method in outlook? In the back of my mind there were downfalls to activesync in regards to outlook; and it would still take visiting every windows workstation and redoing every profile. Thanks in advance!
Please just don't - ActiveSync and Outlook are a horrible couple, and I don't get why Microsoft just doesn't drop ActiveSync support in Outlook entirely. Half of the things you normally do with Outlook (and even with your ActiveSync-connected smartphone) don't work, including such trivial actions as moving (or was it copying? definitely one of either though) an e-mail from one folder to another.

Good morning everyone,
I report the procedure that worked for me:
- uninstall Kerio
- uninstall Office
- restart
- install Office
- install Kerio
- Block updates in Outlook
- block updates in Windows under "advanced" and "update other microsoft products"
---------------------------------------------
IF IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO UNINSTALL KERIO
- uninstall Office
- remove the Kerio folder in "Program Files"
- Activate "show hidden files" and remove the Kerio folder under user \ "yourusername" \ AppData \ Local
- right click on Start and start "Run", type "regedit"
- in regedit search for "kerio" and delete the key
- restart
- install Office
- install Kerio
- Block updates in Outlook
- block updates in Windows under "advanced" and "update other microsoft products"
