Good practice dictates that charts, graphs and reports be adequately identified. The GFI Languard reports are lacking this important information.
Examples include:
Author
Date / Time
Subject
Sub-Topic
Test conditions
etc.
This is particularly true for standalone documents that will be distributed and lack any other context.
Example:
When using GFI Languard, it is possible to list all of the software installs by version.
It is possible to show which computers have a certain version.
It is possible to generate a report of that limited list.
However, the report that results does not (and it appears, cannot) show Subject, Title, etc. even if these are provided.
This makes the report be simply a list of computers.
A recipient may say "what's this for?"
A recipient may print out a bunch of these reports, shuffle them and then not know which is which.
The strong suggestion is that the report formats include titles providing context including (in this one case) software/version and date of the report.
