Hi all,
in many companies external mails get marked within the mail itself so that user can easier identify the sender.
Is this possible with Kerio Connect ?

Hi,
I found the option to add something to the subject based on rules. But it seems this only works with Kerio Connect in Outlook and in Webmail.
On Android with Outlook or Gmail I do not see this additional text like [EXT].
Any other ideas ?
Regards
Ralf

I set up and incoming message filter on the server to prepend the subject with [EXTERNAL], and it's visible to all clients:
- All conditions must be met
- From does not contain (my domain)
- sender does not contain (my domain)
- subject does not contain [EXTERNAL]
The last one prevents replys from endlessly getting a new [EXTERNAL] tacked on

Hi Bud,
yeah, I did the same. But somehow it only works on the webclient (and even here with a least 1/2 second delay) and Kerio Connect for Outlook.
Using Active Sync on mobile phones (Outlook for Android or gmail) does not show the external text.
Do you also have users with mobile access?
Regards
Ralf

Maybe a silly question, apologies if so, but you are creating the rule on the mail server and not within Outlook or Webclient?

Hi Ralph,
I can't understand why it isn't working for you. We have the same rule set and it works, our mobile users are just using the native apps on a mix of Apple & Samsung devices via Active Sync.
Can you post a screen grab of the rule?
