I'm searching how I can use an outbound failover SMTP relay in Kerio.

Kerio is placed in the internal network. In the DMZ's, there are two Antivirus/Antispam/Routing/Security SMTP appliances. For inbound traffic both appliances can be used (from the internet) based on the MX records. They both deliver to Kerio which works fine. For outbound SMTP however, I need to have all mail go through the same appliances. For many other mail products I'm using the option to use specific MX records for outbound SMTP delivery. But in Kerio I don't seem to have that option. Only option is to deliver based on MX records (that would need direct outbound SMTP access to the internet, which is not possible) or specify a SMTP relay host (which I have now). But how can I add a failover SMTP relay host in case the primary fails?

Setting up Kerio to use an external mail relay is pretty easy (settings /SMTP Server/ SMTP delivery), but there's no clear way there to define a primary / alternate relay. Perhaps some trickery using the same relay host name in the kerio configuration, and having the firewall use which ever one is up and running...
