Hello,

I was checking the hard disk space on my Kerio Connect server and noticed that there are about 2 GB of data inside

/opt/kerio/mailserver/plugins/keriobda/antispam

which contains 387 sub-directories. However, the latest of those directories (as well as their contents) have a last modification date of December 8th, 2016. Obviously, the stuff inside that directory is not necessary anymore. Maybe they were from an earlier Kerio Connect version.

Anyway, can I delete those directories and if yes, what is the correct way to do that?

The easiest way would of course be

systemctl stop kerio-connect
rm -fR /opt/kerio/mailserver/plugins/keriobda/antispam/*
systemctl start kerio-connect

but I don't know if this would cause any more or less nasty side effects.

Thanks in advance!

I am on Windows Server, but I have the keriobda folder, but not the antispam subfolder.

In the keriobda folder I have 8 executable/dll files which are from September 2020, so pretty current.

I would rename the antispam folder and then restart the Kerio service. If all is good for some days, you can delete it.

Same here. I also have those (shared objects instead of DLLs though) as well as the mentioned sub-directory.

Alright, I will do so and report back here if it worked without any problems.

I only have one folder in there from about 4 month ago. if you have disabled antispam you can delete it. if you haven't, I suspect it'll recreate whatever is needed.

I first stopped Kerio Connect, moved the directory somewhere and restarted it.
Works as a charm! Surprised

We don't use (or need) the antispam feature at all, so we shouldn't run into any issues here.

I also think so.
