I would like to request a feature upgrade to keep LanGuard as an option in the new Work From Home reality.
We are a midsize software consulting company and because of COVID-19 everyone works from home.
All our IT services (email, wiki, file sharing, etc) are cloud-based, our users don't connect to the office over VPN.
That prevents the communication of the agents with the GFI management server.
Because of some security and contractional obligations, we are forced to look into a replacement of GFI with a product that can have full cloud-based functionality.
However, we like all the features and would really love to renew our LanGuard.
If GFI provides a cloud-based management server it will be great.
Does anyone else think this makes sense?
Regards,
TJ

Hi, are some news about some beta or info about the new features for the cloud version of GFI Languard?
We'll have new features or maybe GFI will be launching a new product that could be used for actual users(clients of GFI Languard?
Thanks!

I am wondering the same. Due of Corona and home office we definitely need a cloud solution that is indipendent from dns and vpn.

Yes we are working on this product. We would still use the LanGuard engine to scan and deploy patches but console would be closed based. Agents would communicate with the cloud via HTTPS so machine does not need to be within the network.
GFI already had such a product but decided to kill it for some reason after Aurea takeover.

What does "Remote Scanning" entail? Unless GFI takes the WFH reality seriously and adds remote patching functionality VERY soon our org will have to look elsewhere. It's been a year and a half since Covid began and we've seen no news or activity to address this request.
