Recently, I had to open an escalated service ticket (#2130857) with LanGuard due to a SIEM alert and low level incident response related to the download source of a security patch. After exhaustive research by LanGuard engineers and review of results myself, it was determined that there was no issue.
Long story short, due to vendor issues, LanGuard sometimes downloads security patches from 3rd party sites.
It would be a best practice for LanGuard to make available occurrece-unique documentation related to the use of 3rd party sites for downloads, such that every time a 3rd party is the source for a security patch, it should be possible for the client-side administrator to check the 3rd party site against a LanGuard-provided known-good list. This would help minimize confusion and enhance customer satisfaction related to the use of those 3rd party sites.

Thanks!
