Outlook archive not working as expected [message #147341] Fri, 03 January 2020 17:33 Go to next message

Hi,

We have several customers with Kerio Connect (current version) using Outlook 2013/2016/2019 with KOC Offline.

When we create a local PST archive in Outlook and try to archive older items on it (TOOLS | Clean Old Items | Archive items older than <date>) the result is quite messy:

a) The folder structure existing on the user mailbox on Kerio is replicated to the PST file;
b) However almost all items on these folders are not archived as expected (most of them stay on the original location on Kerio);

This is quite a problem, since the users complain that they cannot manage the email items as they used when connect to a Exchange 2003 server, and as a result the users folders are getting bigger and bigger (which creates other issues).

Is there any workaround? Does GFI plans to solve this issue?

TIA

This has never worked in all the time we've been using Kerio Connect with the offline connector. Many, many moons ago I was told by tech support to configure KOFF to set a very long time to keep attachments (under 'synchronization settings' in the data file properties in the Outlook Profile), but that didn't help.

Same here. Archiving is a pain in the ass. Wink
It's a manual process unfortunately bacause of this shortcoming.

I am facing the same issue in archiving through outlook. In order for me to reduce to mail server storage size, I have to set auto archive for all clients on their PCs manually since the outlook auto-archive is not working properly.
what is the best efficient way to archive emails automatically??
