Totally agree.

There have been a bunch of disccussions about this topic. From a user perspective it does not make sense to put the signature at the mail bottom.

gangl.de has a product called "Disclaimer Agent" ( https://www.gangl.de/product/disclaimer-agent-exchange-2019. html)
As far as I remember this tool installs into/near to the MTA and searches in the mail-body for a placeholder @@DISCLAIMER@@. If found, it is replaced by a dynamically generated signature, which has again placeholders that a filled from the ActiveDirectory of the mail-sender. This means, every Outlook has only one signature: "@@DISCLAIMER@<_at_>". And this is sometimes a bit dubious to the users.
Another solution is "CI-Sign" ( https://www.ci-solution.com/produkte/ci-sign-email-signature n.html)
This tool is ran via autostart or GPO and replaces in every run the locally configured signature and font (New mail, Replay, Text-Only). The users can change the signature but after the next login it is set back to the company-default. Additionally the users can see their individual signature and may change it to another language, if this is set up and ncecessary. Here, again, a template with placeholders is configured and rolled out individually for the requested user. This tool is more transparent and sometimes it feels also a bit more "patchy".

Implementing the option of using centrally configurable font- and signature-templates with placeholders, that are deployed over the 'Kerio Outlook Connector (Offline)' to Outlook and that are available in the Kerio Connect Client (Web and App), in combination with filling these placeholders from the account-details (think also about the avatar!) would be a very powerful feature! I believe that this might generate some very good sales arguments Wink

As for me - email signature.
I would like to compose signatures not at domain level, but at group or user level.

Any updates on this?
The pressure is growing as we definitely need a solution to automate the email signatures.
The existing editor is fine, but I need a solution capable of managing signatures at group/user level.

To be very clear here: We need to eliminate Kerio and migrate to another product if there is no solution on this in the next few months.

Regards,
Martin

PS: are there an known 3rd party solution with an integration in Kerio? Not like the "MTA hacks" stated above?

After opening a support ticket for the same case, GFI told me I have to make a feature request ...here it is.

WE NEED THE SAME and have the same problems. Totally agree to martin.kaufmann.

To quote my ticket:
1. description of the output:
Domain Footer is configured and working.
2. actual results:
Kerio appends the footer at the end of each message. So far so good. For new messages this is perfect, but for answered or forwarded messages it does the same, this is not very helpful.
3. expected results:
We need a solution to get the footer right under the new text, not at the end of the whole mail. Is it possible for Kerio to recognize the current new message and put the footer/signature directly under this text?
Using user signatures with the Kerio Connect client is not a solution in this scenario, as we want to centralize the signatures so that changes can be made with minimal effort. For us the manual editing of hundreds of individual signatures is not possible.
Maybe it is possible to include a function to place the footer at a desired position? (if necessary by a signal term)
If the mail contains [SIGNATURE] in the text, Kerio should replace this with the configured footer. (same way how Disclaimer Agent by gangl.de works)

In my opinion the footer is working perfect as a FOOTER.
We have filled in all user data and used the locations for various information (including bank details). It was difficult to configure the footer, but we did it and it looks great.

Only the forwarding and reply position in connection with third party clients causes the mentioned problem.

VOTE UP!

Hi all

The domain footer is there to be appended at the end of each message. How emails work the RE and FW content is part of the same body of the current email.

From a compliance point of view as long as the text is within the email body it is ok, the location of such text does not change anything.

If you want that text appears just beneath the footer there are two options:
1) Have a company policy to add it to the signature, just like how signatures for each user should look the same.
2) Add GFI MailEssentials as a gateway to the email. GFI MailEssentials disclaimer option is different than a footer and has special detection in place to put it just beneath the "new" email content.

We wanna test MailEssentials soon, but I found this troubleshooting entry:

Quote:
Troubleshooting and support > Disclaimer is not attached to emails

Issue encountered
Disclaimers are not added to outbound emails

Cause
Disclaimers are only added to outbound emails originating from domains protected by GFI MailEssentials.

Disclaimers are not added when:
Emails are sent from domains that are not specified in local domains list.
Emails are sent to domains that are in the local domains list as these are considered as internal emails.

Solution
Ensure that all local domains are specified in the Inbound email domains dialog.
Does this mean MailEssentials only adds the disclaimer to external mails (mails which have an unknown domain)? Rolling Eyes
We use several domains for different facilities.

GFI MailEssentials only processes emails who's domain matches the one set in Settings...General Settings....Local Domains

Disclaimers are typically attached to outbound emails, but the term outbound might differ depending on the email setup.

Ok, i opened a ticket.
GFI answer: use webmail or Kerio Client

I ask, what is happen when is send mail from phone or tablet or aníthing
GFI answer: In this situation, the best solution would be to add signatures directly on the devices that require them. Unfortunately, this does mean a bit of manual configuration per device, but is the only way to get the desired result.

realy mean on GFI i configure signature 320 peoples ~1,000 devices???
