Possible memory leak in 9.3.0? [message #145866] Mon, 27 May 2019 19:49 Go to next message

Has anyone else noticed an increase in their RAM usage since upgrading to 9.3.0? I have not enabled HA and there have been no other config changes from the previous version. Memory consumption slowly increases each day. No errors are being logged and everything seems to be functioning correctly. I figured I would reach out before opening up a ticket with GFI. Thanks!

What's type of Kerio Control? Physical software appliance or box? How much memory available for appliance? When did you upgrade?

Interesting. This release has been really stable for us. Actually 9.2.9 was fairly stable also. Only thing that I have noticed is that snort (Intrusion Prevention) uses a little more memory but that could be due to some changes that they made before 9.2.9. You must have a hell of a load to utilize 12GB. I can never get my kerio above 4GB with everything operational.
You can try turning IPS off and then back on and see if your memory drops. If not then winroute is probably using the memory and only gfi can troubleshoot that.

EDIT: It would be interesting to see your top output on console

RAM usage looks good in v9.3.0. Previous (recent) versions had RAM issues, with the AV updates taking up RAM and not releasing it afterwards, but this version seems a lot better.

We have updated ~90% of our Kerio Controls to this version, the other ~10% have off-site notebooks that still need the Kerio Control VPN Clients updated before we can proceed with the upgrade because of the changes to encryption.
