Is't possible in any way to get reminders in public calendars?

The reminder will not appear because the event is not in your Calendar folder.

Or do I need to use delegation from a dedicated account?

Dunno if even delegation would work. For a public folder not allowing Reminders is the way to go. Back in the days kerio allowed that and it was a shitfest I tell you. Because most software or apps automatically set a reminder... Users were not happy.

The only way is, to set the date in you calendar and copy it to the public folder.
