All of my users got the announcement that there's a new version of Kerio connect. Every. Single. One. I've had at least two dozen people forward it to me asking why they got it.
Bad form, GFI. Now to go add a filter to the mail server to prevent this from happening again.

What Kerio Version do you use?! I also got the mail, but only to the address that is registered with GFI for licensing. How can they send a mail to the users, if they don't have the mail addresses? Or do you use their on premise service?

Our server (Connect 9.2.7p3) is in-house. I have no idea how they got the user's e-mail addresses. I know that KC "phones home" regularly to check licensing and so forth. Although I knew they could if they wanted, I never really suspected that they were harvesting account names, but right now I have no other explanation. The address on our Kerio account account is 'mis<_at_><my org>', which is a group that goes to only three people. The only think I could think of is someone set their forwarding to include the equivalent of 'everyone', But that would have affected more than just this one e-mail, and an examination of the raw message headers didn't look like that was the case, either.

Hi Bud_Durland
We do not harvest or have any reconciliation of any email account addresses used on your on-premise email server. New build version notifications are sent to emails registered in accounts.gfi.com as owners of valid licenses.
