I found this entry in my Win10 workstations with Office365:
This is EventID 68 in the Application Log:

Security warning loading KOFSTR.DLL. This MAPI provider DLL might be harmful to your system. You should only load DLLs from trusted providers that have been registered in MapiSvc.Inf. This provider DLL will be blocked in a future Outlook client update and its functionality will no longer be available. For more information about registering provider DLLs, see https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2009861&clcid=0x 409.

There is an identical entry calling out KOFXP.DLL right under it.

This is a better link to the MS tech doc.

I found MapiSvc.inf in this location:
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook
and I see a bunch of Kerio entries in it so I'm not sure why the OS thinks the DLLs are not registered in this .inf file.

I wanted to put this out there.

Same problem here with Kerio 9.2.8 and KOFF 9.2.8 under Office 2016, 2019 and Office 365 installations.
Here it is only the file KOFXP.dll (screenshot attached).

Like in this post: https:// forums.gfi.com/index.php?t=msg&th=37335&start=0&

Outgoing messages did not work anymore since today and the update 1904 of Office 365 on windows.

To save you some time and before trying to downgrade to an older version (which is not comfortable with 365), here is the solution:

https:// support.microsoft.com/en-sg/help/4498413/how-to-enable-mapi- to-load-unregistered-provider-dlls

And specifically for Kerio:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\16.0\O utlook\Security\TrustedProviders]
"KOFXP.DLL"=""

Feel free to push this with GPO. And please remove the space between O and utlook.

This fix does not seem to work for us running outlook 2016 and 2019 with the latest updates for the server and client
We have Security warning loading KOFSTR.DLL and KOFXP.DLL in the windows 10 event logs.
Running kerio server 9.2.9 p1
We currently have two PCS doing this with outlook crashing every day only.

Here is a copy of one of the messages in the event log
Security warning loading KOFSTR.DLL. This MAPI provider DLL might be harmful to your system. You should only load DLLs from trusted providers that have been registered in MapiSvc.Inf.

Hello,
has anyone, who had the Problem with sending mails after update 1604, checked if the entry in the eventviewer still exist after adding the registry key?
Because my Installation of Office 2016 Home and Business is now on 1604 and i still can send email with Outlook, no Errors.
But i have an entry in the eventviewer that KOFXP.dll is blocked and the functions of this dll are not usable. I applied the registry key but the entry still Comes up.

I have same problem on clients.
Is the Kerio Connect Connector a must have on the computers?
Isnt it possible to make Outlook directly work via Exchange without the connector?

For anyone else looking into this issue, it appears to be resolved for Kerio Connect 9.2.10.
editing to add - because we were upgrading from Office 2010 to 365/2019 at the same time, we had to do a full uninstall of the offline connector, reboot, then reinstall the offline connector to resolve the problem.

We are running both 9.2.10 (build 4692) on both the mail server and the KOFF Connector. We are still seeing this issue so I don't think its been resolved as yet.

This issue was resolved in 9.2.10 as far as I can tell. However, if any of you are still experiencing this, double check to see if you are running any desktop antivirus software apps. Perhaps it is blocking your outbound mail? It has been known to happen in the past.

The official statement is that this issue should be resolved.

Part of 9.2.10 we are automatically performing the steps in this KB
https://support.gfi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360008700140-Error -This-MAPI-provider-DLL-might-be-harmful-to-your-system-When -Sending-Emails-in-Outlook-Versions-2016-2019-with-Kerio-Con nect-Version-9-2-9

However, we have now seen in latest version of Outlook (v1909 - released October 2019) that it is crashing if KOFF is installed. We are still investigating this issue. What is weird is that at this time Insider builds of Microsoft Outlook work with no issue, meaning this could be an Outlook issue that has been fixed in future builds of Outlook.
