I have two different servers experiencing this issue, one on Windows Server 2016 Standard and the other Windows Server 2008 R2

Since this morning, occasionally I am seeing the Kerio mailserver.exe crash and write the following in the event log:

I have another server updated at the same time yesterday which does not seem to suffer from the same problem.

Did anybody see similar behavior?

I went through the logs in great detail, and I cannot see any similar messages in the logs prior to the update to 9.2.6.

Windows is updated on both the servers with issues, to the latest updates.

I am seeing the same entries which is then followed by a message saying IM external process is not responding or is not running, closing all client sessions then followed by Corrupted IM external process stopped.

I saw in one thread where one user said the disable the XMPP and Secure XMPP service which did nothing. Continued to have this problem until I turn secure XMPP service back on. Every 20 hrs I have the same problem and just restart that service then its fine for 1 day then back to the same. It's frustrating because when this happens my users keep getting disconnected every 5 minutes until I restart that service.

I had the XMPP services stopped and set to manual before the update.

I started them and set them to Automatic and I will see how it goes.

I have another two servers updated to 9.2.6 which also have the services set to manual and stopped, these particular two servers are not suffering the same problem, so it must be something else causing this or a different combination of things.

I opened a case with Kerio since I have software maintenance and I will see how they respond. It's the weekend so it will probably be Monday.

In the meantime I will see if the situation changes with the XMPP services running and set to automatic.

Well I think i spoke too soon. Last night the issue started again and it happens every 15-20 minutes. Kicks everyone off when it does happen. If you find anything out from support please let me know.

I have the same issue as OP.
I'm running 2008R2 and my errors are almost identical.
Event the same version of MSVCR100.DLL
I had XMPP stopped and disabled before the upgrade and I have left both secure and non-secure off.
Restarting the mailserver clears it up for a random amount of time for me.

So I wasn't getting the first message that you posted but I was getting the corrupted folders messages. That has seemed to stop now and the only thing I did was I edited the mailserver.cfg file. Searched for Instant messaging and changed the startup variable from 1 to 0. Since then I haven't received a single message about corrupt boxes. Not sure what that service has to do the the users folders but changing that seems to have fixed my issue. If something changes I will post back.

bram06, your server is on Windows or another platform?

Can you copy and paste the exact line you changed in mailserver.cfg here?

Kerio answered back to my support incident, and they told me to revert back to 9.2.5p3

Grrrr...

I did the procedure, and it looks stable now. I just hope the store is healthy and not messed up. So far it looks good.

So one thing I forgot to mention was I deleted the instant messenger database which cleared up the mailbox messages but I went ahead and disabled the service anyways. I think those messages we are seeing are for instant messaging. I reindexed each user folder afterwards and it found no corrupt folders. Also I'm using Ubuntu.

I'm having more frequent issues this morning.
I edited the CFG file and found XMPP was set to 1 eventhough I've had it disabled for months. I stopped the mailserver service, changed the 1 to a 0 and when I restarted, the log showed XMPP starting up anyway.
While the server was down, I renamed the MSVCR100.dll and copied in an older version DLL. Probably dangerous, but worth a try. I'll report back.

So far, things seemed to have calmed down. I'm not seeing corrupt folders and the service has stayed running. *fingers crossed*

The logs have been clean except for:
[09/Apr/2018 10:53:19] Spamassassin Bayes database cleanup has blocked external server.
[09/Apr/2018 10:59:24] SpamAssassin AWL database cleanup has blocked external server.

which may not be related.

Almost 24 hours later and still no more serious issues.

Allegedly disabling av from web admin panel helps with 9.2.6 build 3811 crashes. Worth testing as it takes 30sec. to change settings.
