Hey there,

I did a migration von from Microsoft Exchange to Kerio Connect.
Everything seems to worked as planned but i have massive Performance problems
when i search Emails in Outlook 2010-2013 (Offline Connector)

It takes about 30Seconds until anything is displayed on Outlook.
In the Kerio webmailer everything works fine.

Also i made exclusions on
%ProgramFiles%\Kerio\*.*
%AppData%\Local\Kerio\*.* for the Antivirus Software ( Server and Client)

I have 15 Users, the Client Hardware is up to date.
The folder size is very variably and between 3GB to 30GB.

The fulltextsearch isn´t activated yet. Is it possible to activate
the fulltextsearch for one user only? for test use ?

It helps a great deal to have a 64bit os (no necessarily the 64bit office), with 8GB or ram and an SSD. The issue is that searches using Kerio Web Client are server-side, but outlook is client-side on the locally cached message store.

Thanks for the answer,

the Client Hardware is nearly new -> i5, 8GB DDR4, Samsung SSD.
does the fulltextsearch helps to increase the peformance?

Did you try shrink KOC database?
I use lot of RSS and my KOC file is sometimes 5x larger that real storege used on mailserver.

After shrink, everything work faster.

I have small .bat file on desktop

CD "c:\Program Files (x86)\Kerio\Outlook Connector (Offline Edition)\"
DbBackup.exe s OUTLOOKPROFILENAME

I didn´t even know that there is a "Shrink function" thanks for the Tipp.
But it dosent makes the Performance better. Also it dosent help to create
a new Profile.

When i search in Outlook 2013 the whole mailbox, it realy takes some time
until any result is displayed.
The searchfunction in "Current Folder" is much faster, but the customer
want to search the whole mailbox

Translation :
Aktueller Ordner = Current Folder
Aktuelles Postfacht = Current Mailbox

In my Inbox in Outlook i have 25000 Objects, is this a Problem?

It probably would be if there was such a thing, but it was discontinued several years ago.

What server platform are you using? We realized significant performance improvements when we migrated from Windows to Linux a couple years ago.

1. How fast is searching thru webmail? Faster? Did you try resources monitor when search is in progress? What goes up CPU, HDD, Storage I/O?
2. Is kerio connector one and only email account in profile? Is the search proccess limited only to emails in kerio account?

3. KOC without caching is still up to date:
http://download.kerio.com/cz/dwn/kerio-connect-koc-win32.msi

kerio-connect-koc-9.2.5-3336-p3-win32.msi

The search thru the Webmailer ist very fast.
When i enter a search term i get nearly instant a result.

I use a Server 2016 with one Hyper V.
That means, one Hostsystem (Server 2016) and one Hyper V with Domaincontroller and Kerio (Server 2016).
and a new Dell Poweredge R530 with 128GB RAM and 15K SAS drives.

I will check the resources monitor asap

Kerio Connector is the only account in Profile but i open two
additionall other Kerio Mailboxes but it dosen´t help to
close the additonall Mailboxes, i tested it with only one Mailbox
and a new Profile without additional Mailboxes.

How about Microsoft indexing options setting? Is outlook profile included in locations to index?
