I guess we will have to see what happens later this year following the integration but my main concern as a customer having had a quick look at GFI's own products is for Connect.

I really hope the MacOS version of Connect server is both kept and continues to be developed/updated. There isn't really any viable alternative I'm aware of (i.e that is as polished and simple to maintain as Kerio which is a good step up from what is included in Server.app and runs on MacOS).

I have ran Kerio Connect for many years on Macs, but I have found that it runs a lot better on Linux. I saw this first hand while working part time with GetSync'd, which used to be the most successful of the Kerio Connect cloud hosts. They were acquired by Kerio last year. CentOS needs far less resources, so the processor and memory can be devoted more fully to running Kerio Connect.

I don't doubt it, and can understand why it may better suit many to do so, however performance isn't an issue with our small number of clients and the convenience of using a Mac is more important.

They don't really have any competition on MacOS (unlike on Linux and Windows) so if they want the revenue they could easily keep it coming in.

From experience however you can often get someone making decisions that just dislikes the platform following a takeover and will just cancel a successful Mac product out of spite.

Or perhaps because 90% of the questions that appear on this forum are for Apple issues since Apple likes to do their own thing and doesn't play well with others. An Apple ecosystem works well, probably the best overall computing experience 'cause it all just works but when you attempt to marry it to either Android or Microsoft all hell breaks loose.

If you listened to the webinar with GFI software CEO you would have heard him say they are going to keep Mac platform products. Anything can change but that is what the man said.
