Hi,
I want to set a bandwidth limit for each user that exceeds his quota. Currently I'm using the exceeded quota bandwidth rule but it is not working for me anymore. All my users that exceed their daily quota are added to this rule and then they share the bandwidth that is assigned to the rule. My network is starting to grow and my customers are complaining that their exceeded limit are becoming too slow. I can't increase the exceeded quota limit because then some users bandwidth won't be reduced when they reach their limit.
I want to specify the exceeded quota bandwidth limit for each user. Eg. If user exceeds his quota reduce speed by 50% or if user exceeds his quota reduce speed to **Mb. I want to be able to specify the percentage or bandwidth. Is it possible to add the feature under the quota exceed action on the user quota menu? I am willing to pay for this feature to be added. If this can't be done I have to start looking for another bandwidth manager which I don't want to do because I love the application. It's only missing this one critical feature which I really need.
Please can you help?

Is there any kind of common attributes or traffic patterns of the users who exceed their quota? What is the behavior that leads the user to exceed their quota? If there's something in common amongst all of the violators, is it worth putting some limits to that specific behavior for ALL users and allowing full bandwidth for other more desirable behaviors?
For example, are the quota exceeders hitting the quota because of streaming music, videos, general web browsing, etc? If so, then I would encourage you to implement a policy that restricts those types traffic (perhaps only during specific hours) for ALL users. Along with that, publicize the restriction and explain the reason behind it to the users. Something to the effect of, "We've restricted the speed on this, because it's expected that you will be doing A, B, and C during business hours. Unfortunately, we've observed behavior that's caused some concern with management. Traffic related to legitimate business purposes is being compromised by non-business related behavior and, as a result, we've implemented controls and monitoring practices to protect the integrity of business-related traffic. We'll revisit these restrictions on a quarterly basis and evaluate any policy changes that are required. As a reminder, violation of policy XYZ puts your employment in jeopardy."
If there are certain groups of users who should NOT be subject to those restrictions because that traffic is relevant to their job function, then add them to a group and implement a bandwidth policy NEAR THE TOP of the list which permits music, video, web browsing, etc for that exception group.
If I've missed the mark on this, then please share the business case and include the desired behavior you're trying to get out of your users and the undesirable behaviors you're trying to curb.

My customers should be able to download whatever they want. Even if they are on the exceeded quota limit. I am a WISP and have created different packages to make it more affordable to my customers.
My client is still happy when he gets 1Mb on the exceeded quota limit when he has a 2Mb package. The problem is when I have other clients exceeding their quotas the exceeded quota limit gets lower. If 2 users exceeded their quota each user will then just get 512Kb, if another 2 users exceed their limit it becomes 256Kb.
I want the user to have his own exceeded quota bandwidth limit that is not shared by anybody else. I've seen the option on other bandwidth applications. Why can't you add the feature?

Thanks for the additional background. Please follow the steps in http://kb.kerio.com/product/kerio-operator/providing-feedbac k-for-kerio-products-1643.html to suggest ideas for product enhancements.
As you may have noticed from my title, I'm the Director of Sales Engineering at Kerio and I hope you can appreciate that I took the time to ask about your business situation and objectives in order to fully understand your case AND I hope you can appreciate that I put a genuine effort into a possible solution for you that takes advantage of existing product functionality. I'm not sure that the tone that accompanies, "Why can't you add the feature?" Is the best way to gain advocacy or express your appreciation.

Hello Mr. I would like to know what configuration I must make so that the emails that are sent to mailboxes with the message limit exceeded, bounce directly. Our current problem is that the server saturates the message queue, trying to deliver messages to mailboxes that have already exceeded their quota. I would like to configure so that these emails are directly returned to the sender, without continuing to try to deliver them. In this way, we hope to avoid saturation of the message queue. Our organization currently has 2,300 accounts. Thanks
