Hello,

I have a very large inbox and i would like to archive old mails.
When i use outlooks archive option the file is created and when i open that file trough outlook the archived email appear in a new menu.

But the old ones never dissapear? So my inbox never get smaller?
What is the best way to do this in Kerio?

/Joel

If I recall a previous discussion about this correctly, by default the offline connector will remove the attachment from messages in the local cache that are more than 6 months old. If needed, attachments are re-downloaded when you open the message.

However, during the archiving, cached messages that have had the attachment removed appear incomplete to the archiving process, and thus are not archived & not removed from the mail store.

The workaround it to change the setting in the KOFF connector (data file properties / Outlook Connector / Synchronization settings), and set the number of days to keep attachments to something longer than your archiving interval. Then clear & rebuild KOFF message cache.

I dont think it has to do with the attachments, plain emails without attachments doesn't dissapear from my inbox either?

It may also affect "plain" emails with inline images etc.

Please look at this thread: http://forums.kerio.com/mv/msg/28989/120512/#msg_120512
