Does KIMT work to migrate from one domain in Kerio to another? [message #128528]

We are selling our domain name. Our email is managed via KMS. Right now, I have currentdomain.com configured with many users, groups, mailing lists, etc. I can create futuredomain.com in Kerio and start configuring and testing that domain.

Can I use KIMT and specify mail.currentdomain.com as the existing IMAP server and futuredomain.com as the new domain to transfer users and their mailboxes?

What happens to mailing lists, groups, and other such settings?

Another option appears to be renaming the domain inside Kerio. That appears to be a way to do what I want. It seems, though, that there isn't a good way to test that approach before pulling the trigger.

Does anybody have advice on how to manage this transition?

KIMT migrates only e-mails, not the groupware (calendar, contacts,..), so this is not usable for you.
I don't see any problem with domain rename, it should fit your needs.

Denny,

I've used the rename function (when I created a domain in Connect with a typo and then configured everything before someone noticed the error).

It works flawlessly from my experience.

I think it will save you a lot of pain and frustration.
