Hello everybody,

Marry Christmas to everyone.

To my question.
I couldn't find anything really to this.

How is it possible to manage the email signature globally.

We are using different clients, outlook, webmail, thunderbird ....
Everybody in our company uses another client, or also different depending where he is.

I found under settings -> domain -> footer tab.
Quite nice, you can also personalize with name and so on.
But this footer always gets attached to the end of the mail. When you write a new mail thats ok. But when you answer to a reply or to a email you receice, the footer, and also the email signature gets attached to the bottom of the mail.
Not quite that what er are looking for.

The email signature must be under the own text you write and not at the total bottom of the complete email.

So since years people are having the email signature configured in the client itself. As you can imagine everybody has a different signature, an old one and so on.
Administration for many people and mutiple clients per user is pretty bad.

How are other people solving this?

Isn't there a way to do this over Active Directory? Note not for Outlook only. Thats possible.
I am thinking of a solution for the mail server itself.

Is there another way of adding the signature and manage it globally at one point somewhere somehow?
Are we using the domain footer the wrong way?

Actually I cannot imagine that Kerio is not able to have a solution for this.

Thanks for your answers.

Regards

Quite a few people where reading this now.

No reply. No hint or pointer?

Is my question not really understandable?

Has nobody the problem?
Are you all using email signature setup through the client itself?

Actually, yes. Every time I've needed to create a signature block, it is always configured client side.

Traditionally, an e-mail "footer" is attached to outgoing messages to include some amount of legal cover-thy-butt verbiage to instruct recipients to not share proprietary data, destroy incorrectly routed messages, protect intellectual property, etc.

Signature blocks used to be a simple way to automatically put your name and title at the end of your message, but have (IMHO) morphed into vanity plates; some more garish than others (/IMHO).

Personally, I wouldn't expect the mail server to be able to insert signatures. When an e-mail is given to the mail server to deliver, it is very clear where the end of a the e-mail is, but there is no clear delineation between the end of the currently added message, and the quoted/replied to message.

Hello ,

it cannot be so hard to determine where is the right place for signature if we help server a bit with some special code or some sign like GUID which we can set to signature in email client. If server detect this special sign then can replace it with signature.

or ?
