Sending duplicate emails since update to 8.2.4 [message #112826]

Ever since the hotfix and then update to 8.2.4 some users have been seeing duplicates of sent messages.

Server is running on OS X 10.5.8

Users are sending via fully patched Outlook 2011. The duplicates appear in the Outlook sent message list

Anyone know how to troubleshoot / fix this issue?

Are the messages being sent in duplicate? checking with the recipient or a quick peek at the operation/debug log will reveal this. I would suspect an errant rule, or perhaps an alias/group issue.

As already written, check Mail log in WAM, if message is really sent twice.
If so, enable logging as described here http://kb.kerio.com/article.php?id=1053
and search for any errors regarding CreateItem request both in Outlook log and Debug and Error log on the server.

Turns out the issue was a problem with the LDAP lookup from the Kerio server to the OD master. There were various authentication errors in the Security logs so I replaced the entry in Directory Administrator and the problem disappeared. It seems as though Outlook was struggling to authenticate when sending and so ended up sending multiple duplicates of some emails.

I have no LDAP connector but do have numerous connections to mailboxes and randomly it will send 7-12 copies of the same email to a recipient - they are in the sent boxes and the recipients report that they got X qty. What is the fix to this issue?

As with the previous complaint, a peek into the debug log (SMTP logging) will be a beneficial first step.

Yes, it shows 5 messages ID's to the entire list of intended recipients - 3 coming from the primary email address and 1 additional from my 2 other email addresses (2 total) in the kerio server profile and one from my IMAP connector to a gmail account. So recipient got 6 copies of the same message. At the same time I see the below in the debug log but only one log entry for connection from MY PC:
