Hello,

We choose to migrate our corporate Exchange 2003 mail server to Kerio Connect.
All our users (more then 200) are connected to TSE servers (a TSE Cluster)

Our TSE servers are running out of space... Kerio Outlook Connector (Offline Edition) is the culprit : email cache are stored into each user's local folders c:\users\%usernema%\%appdata%\Local\Kerio\Outlook Connector. This is a big issue as we are connecting on a cluster. In your case, data are created on 5 different TSE servers. We have basically 160Gb of mail data on our kerio server and about 750Gb of mail data on 5 TSE servers...

I've tried to change the cache location but failed as the destination was ona unc path...
A standard Outlook installation allow an .ost file to be stored on a remote location. Why is this not possible with KOC ? You have clever in-house developers, they for sure can fix this !

Please don't ask me to switch to the webmail client : the new webmail interface lack a lot of the old one.... and compared to Outlook, there is a lot of missing features.

How can you help me on this ?

If you are using OutLook 2007 or older, use the Kerio on-line connector. No local caching.

Good is better than evil because it's nicer

Kerio on-line connector isn't supported anymore. Kerio also state that we should not use it under TSE.

I have the exact problem, but I wouldnt think its all Kerio's fault. We also utilize roaming profiles and the amount of data people save to their profile gets synced to all other servers all the time.

Well well... looks like they are using firebird embedded. It doesn't supports UNC path and that is the trouble. The only option will be to get an "ONLINE" version of kerio connector but they dropped this some years ago ! (another option would be to use SQLite but that'll force them to rewrite their whole database backend...)

There is another option I used for my TerminalServers. Relocate the Cache Folder of the KOFF-Connector to a seperate local disk.

@mwolf : it's not a problem when xorking with a single server but it becomes when your are working with several servers : you will need to allocate more HD space on each servers...
