I'm hoping someone here can help me - I'm recently getting lots of:
Error when parsing SPF TXT record for domain:
in my warning log from many different valid senders. So like a person should, I went to read about what SPF was and am I using it properly.

Where I got confused in the process is:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_DNS_record_types lists SPF as basically being obsolete as of August 2013. I know you can't believe everything you read on the internet Shocked so I thought I would pose the question here and maybe someone can help me understand.

I've spent some time reading at openspf.org and nothing looks to have been updated there since 2012ish and I read somewhere else that there is a current proposal of something else to replace SPF.

This is now my brain --> Confused

Hi Machete

As far as I can tell SPF is still valid and in use on many systems. the wiki mentions that the internet draft document is set to expire, but this may be superseded by a new revision or not. Even if it changes, SPF is still in common use.

The error is probably due to invalid or incorrect SPF records. you can check the domains through any of the SPF check sites on the internet.

I hope this helps.
