Hi
Ive recently configured our Kerio connect 8.2 to share our main work email folder throughout our company , (14 users) all clients are using mavericks mail 10.9.1, our server is mavericks 10.9.1, I've set all users to be admin so they can add boxes the problem we are having is that our company email folder is a whopping 90 gb in size, clients that are sharing the folder are finding it slow to populate especially when clicking on a folder that has a lot of emails in it, i can't seem to force mavericks to download the data to each local computer, that would solve the problem I'm sure, i have "automatically download all attachments" selected on the client's machines but it's almost as if the mailbox has to re index itself before anything can be viewed, even if its already been viewed before, does anyone have any suggestions as to how i can make this shared folder work more quickly?

Thanks

Rob

Hi Rob

Thats rather large for a single folder (i'm assuming its a single folder?) any mail client would find a 90gb mail folder slow to access.

Maverick's mail also appears to be slow and building the preview of a shared mailbox as well. the smaller the mailbox the better though.

I would consider cutting down the size. we tend to recommend a max of 10,000 items per folder and not too many nested sub folders.

Its something to consider.

I hope this helps!

Just to add to this, I've tried adding a client to thunderbird and shared files work really quickly, just shows you that mavericks mail isn't there yet.
