Hoping someone can help explain to me how the "Add Sender to spam whitelist" in the Connect Client works?
I have multiple scenarios where I have received "Likely Spam" and added the sender to the "Spam Whitelist" however additional emails from the same sender still arrive in "Likely Spam"
I have looked at the headers and this is the scoring from one of the emails:
tests=AWL: -0.296,BAYES_00: -0.25,EXTRA_MPART_TYPE: 1,
HTML_MESSAGE: 0.05,RDNS_NONE: 0.25,T_FILL_THIS_FORM_SHORT: 1,
TOTAL_SCORE: 1.754,autolearn=no
I'm not really looking for tips on how to adjust my scoring - I'm trying to understand if I've added a sender to a Whitelist why it's still passing through SpamAssassin scoring?
Thanks for any help educating me...

freakinvibe wrote on Thu, 09 January 2014 03:23Sorry, but where do you see this option in the Web Client?
Also, where do you get the "Likely Spam" from? I only have a Junk Mail folder.
In your mail, you have a score of 1.7, so that would normally not be marked as Spam (standard threshold is 5.0).
In the old web mail client, right click on a message and in popup menu is an opton that reads "Add sender to spam whitelist"
Likely Spam is the prefix to the mail messages that end up in our Junk Mail Folder.
On my server, a 1.2 scoring is Likely Spam and 3.6 is Spam. I had to tighten my scoring as so many spam emails were making it through to the inbox. I have many custom rules for Spam Assassin to help with my scoring.

Neil Whiteside (Kerio) wrote on Thu, 09 January 2014 07:34Hello Machete,
I would recommend that you read through this KnowledgeBase article, and compare the recommendations to your own settings, across the whole range of Kerio Connect anti-spam features.

If the problem remains unresolved it would probably be worth opening a support ticket, so that we can assist you in more detail.
I hope this helps.
Best regards,
Neil.
Hi Neil,
Thanks for the response - but the KB article as you mentioned give an overall explanation of the Spam implementation in Connect.
I was hoping someone could explain to me why when I click Add Sender to Whitelist in the 'old' connect client, messages from that sender still get flagged as spam?

Sender whitelist marks the email as "not spam". But the email is still processed by spam filter tests for debugging purposes. This is just an informational email header.
Thanks Pavel for the response!
I'm confused by your statement that it marks the email as 'not spam' as that button in the toolbar still says Not Spam until I click it (and then of course changes to read 'Spam').
I'll go hunting for another instance of this problem to grab the X-Spam-Flag tag. IIRC correctly, it was present and marked yes.
One additional question, is this user specific? So if User-1 clicks this for a sender, will that not apply to other users on the server? Maybe that's why I didn't see this working as I thought?...

Thanks Freakinvibe - I will pay attention to the headers and when I get this issue again, will paste full headers.
It was my interruption - that if a user clicks the whitelist for a sender, that any other user would also have that sender whitelisted. It doesn't appear that's the case.
