Hi,
I am testing the new delegate mailbox option and I it works great, but I have one problem with it.
In our company we have a few shared mailboxes that is being used to send and receive mail by multiple users with IMAP.
Now with the new Delegated Mailboxes, we can easily manage the users that need to have access to those mailboxes without having to manually add the IMAP account to every users outlook.
I have only one problem that I can't find A solution for:
How can I tell Outlook (or Kerio) that sent mail from the info@domain mailbox needs to be saved in the info@domain sent items folder instead of the Sent Items folder of the user that is sending it?
This functionality is pretty crucial as every user that has access to the info<_at_>domain mailbox needs to have access to the sent emails.
Microsoft has A registry solution for outlook that gives this exact functionality with Shared/Delegated Mailboxes on Exchange or Office365 (and I have this working with a office365 trial) but it does not work with Kerio Delegated mailboxes.
Quote:Install the Outlook 2010 hotfix package that's dated December 14, 2010. For more information about this hotfix package, see the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
2459115 Description of the Outlook 2010 hotfix package (outlook-x-none.msp): December 14, 2010
Enable the hotfix by adding the DelegateSentItemsStyle registry entry, and then set the entry's value to 1. To do this, follow these steps:
Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\Pre ferences
On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
Type DelegateSentItemsStyle, and then press Enter.
Right-click DelegateSentItemsStyle, and then click Modify.
In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
Exit Registry Editor.

Please don't get me wrong I'm not defending the lack of certain functionality on the basis no one else does it.
Kerio is great product I was merely responding to your comment about Kerio losing a customer over odd functionality
That said if you can find a product that does what you need with the sent items I would certainly be interested in knowing about it because I have customers looking for the very same solution.
