HI,

I have Kerio Connect 7.4.3 build 7813 running on OSX 10.7.3 client.

My user accounts are mapped from Open Directory. My Open Directory server is a different server on my LAN. Connect maps accounts from the 'remote' server via IP.

The OD server currently runs Mac OS 10.6.8 Server.

I now need to upgrade my OD server to 10.8.x, and will likely follow the upgrade path (not migration path) in this Apple knowledgebase article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5381?viewlocale=en_US&loca le=en_US

Minimizing Kerio Connect downtime is a priority for me here.

Has anyone been down this path? Is there anything I should look out for?

Thanks,

ft.

PS. We also run AFP, DNS and FTP on the OD box... any experiences with upgrading those services also appreciated.

Hi fishtech,

I would recommend that you upgrade Kerio Connect to v8.1.3 - that should work fine.

There were some issues with early versions of Kerio Connect and OD on OS X Server 10.8, but these seem to have all been ironed out.

Best regards,

Neil.

Many thanks for the info.

Do you see any problems if I stage this by first moving to Connect 8.1.3, while remaining at 10.6.8 on the OD server.

Then, at a later point, upgrade the OD server to 10.8?

Thanks,

ft.

Hi Ft,

No there should not be any problems with upgrading to 8.1.3 while using OD 10.6.8. Just make sure you upgrade the OD extensions as well to match the 8.1.3 Connect.

All the best,
Vicky
