Hallo,

we have a strange Problem with Kerio. Each Friday beginning at 12:30 CEST the mailserver uses more than 330% of the cpu. The Webinterface is very slow, Working in Mail works. There are no specific Errors in the Logfiles. After 1 Hour all is normal ..

Server: Apple XServe with 2x3GHz Dual-Core, 16GB of RAM. Kerio Version 7.4.3 build 7813.

Can you get a process list of what is active at this time for us to review?

Also, is it one of the Kerio processes or just in general?

Thanks.

Cheers,
Jon

Looks like you have a couple of rsync operations happening

sorry--I read that wrong since rsync is taking very little CPU at least from what you show.

No, nothing. And only the Webinterface is terribly (unusable) slow. No Problem with Mail or Outlook under OS X-Clients.

Did you enable the Full text search? This process uses a lot of CPU power.

Each 7 days the message store runs background check of it's internal databases. But it is performed by external bdbchecker process, not with main mailserver process.

I found this in the Debug-Log when the CPU-Usage gets high:

[01/Nov/2013 12:07:48][3057684480] {storecheck} BDBChecker: File: /usr/local/kerio/mailserver/store/mail/
[01/Nov/2013 12:07:48][3057684480] {storecheck} StorageCheck:

Where can i change the time when the storage-check runs ? Any Idea anyone ? Maybe someone from KERIO ?

So every Friday it looks like Kerio is starting the store check:
[01/Nov/2013 12:02:01][3057684480] {storecheck} StorageCheck: bdbFolderCheck: Message store control has started.
[01/Nov/2013 14:23:28][3057684480] {storecheck} StorageCheck: bdbFolderCheck: Message store control is finished (no damaged files were found).

How can i configure this ? There a more than 2 hours in which users cannot login via the webinterface - we have over 300 users. Anyone ?

We are having the same problem (only it goes on for hours and hours and hours).
Our current workaround is to restart Kerio service. After the restart we get 1 hour of normal server response before the checker restarts.

It sucks, but that's all we can do until we can set the time for this checker.

Any chance this problem will be addressed in future updates?
