We are in the process of bringing our Kerio Mailserver up and have been looking into CRM systems like salesforce.com etc. What CRM systems have people successfully integrated with Kerio Mailserver?
Are there any specific CRM solutions / providers that Kerio provides support for / works with?
I see in release notes for the outlook connector mention of better compatibility with SalesForce's Outlook connector. Has anyone used the two together?
Any feedback or suggestions are appreciated..

About a year ago I tried to get SugarCRM to work with KMS. I never got it working but I think that was due to my lack of skills. From what I remember, it should have been possible to get it working.
I really like the look of SugarCRM:

*Bump*
I have a partner that has a customer with this same need to sync contacts between SFDC and a shared contact folder on Kerio Connect. It seems as though this *could* be possible using SFDC <----> Outlook Contact Sync whereby Outlook acts like a piece of middleware that manages contact updates between SFDC and Kerio Connect.
Can anyone comment on any success that they've had or any confirmation that this is a tall order? There's a fair amount of unfavorable commentary regarding SFDC <----> Outlook Contact Sync on the Interwebs.
EDIT: In an ideal world, I think the customer would prefer that Kerio Connect and SFDC communicate directly as anything involving Outlook as a middle-man requires that Outlook be open and connected.
Thanks for any guidance.

Almost all the CRM systems I've ever seen really want to integrate with the the client (OutLook, etc), and not the server itself. Generally speaking, there are many more published APIs for clients than servers. Notice that SF has an Outlook connector, but not an Exchange connector.
As described by KSnyder, most often (again, my experience) the client becomes middleware to update shared or public contacts. Depending on your resources for programming staff, it may be possible to create a connector or script that uses the Kerio Connect API's to take updates from SF and put them into KC.

Quote:has anyone integrated Kerio with a CRM like salesforce?
My users have a CRM built in FileMaker Pro. We are an all Mac shop.
Users can send mail from the CRM via Kerio Connect. We don't do this but mail can be received into FileMaker.
Users can subscribe to calendar events and notifications entered in the CRM using their Connect calendars. The calendars are shared around devices.
If users are at their desktop they can click on a phone number in the CRM to dial their desktop phone automatically using Kerio Operator.
When mobile, the user can use FileMaker Go on iPhone to click and dial a phone numbers, map an address, etc.
I guess the answer really depends on how you want your 'integration' story to read.
FWIW, there are a number of folks integrating FIleMaker with SF, eg: http://www.soliantconsulting.com/blog/2015/04/filemaker-sale sforce-integration-oauth-oh-my

We have managed to get Kerio connect and SalesForce (SF) to work on the network.
SF does not like Kerio.. and will only work directly with an Exchange server (clearly these guys are catering to MSFT and must be looking to get bought by them some day...)
Our clients needed SF to work , mainly to synch contacts (to a global shared contacts folder no less...), and then of course all the other SF "features".
Our client's network in this case is 50+ users, and 8 of them are manager level that need SF.. though everyone else needs to shares the contacts folder, so that added complication/flexibility was also a challenge . This is how we did it:
Allow the client to subscribe and setup SF normally. DO NOT install the SF Outlook client on their local Outlook. Instead use a bridge application called LinkPoint360, yes it adds $5 /mo per user, but it works. It looks exactly like SF in Outlook thereby supplanting the SF app. If you have a single user or are not looking to share contact.. you are basically done.
However if you need the shared/synched contacts (or notes, etc.) as well... then you must continue:
Make a generic Kerio mail acct user profile (example, call it linkpoint<_at_>your-client.com), on the server or on a VM that is running just Outlook. You need one acct that is doing the synching all the time and pretty much that is all it does is synchs.. you can NOT have "everyone" synching their own list (well you can if that is what you want, but here remember we r going for a shared public folder)
Install the LinkPoint360 app on this acct. and set it to synch contacts in both directions (the fastest you can set it for 'automatically' is 1 per hr. Having it run on a server or VM dong the dedicated task means you can control that it will do it even if a user elsewhere is logged off. These settings are all under the LinkPoint add-in tab that will appear in Outlook and you need to set the various settings to your needs... especially the salesforce acct info needs to be entered here.... otherwise.. well..how wold it know.... :)
Here is he tricky part...(tricky only in that this is not documented and you just gotta know this part..) you need to edit (simply with notepad) the linkpoint.ini file (located in Roaming, AppData, Linkpoint) in the [OUTLOOK] section of that file, set it to go to a specific folder. Indeed this is the reason this app even works for Kerio.. it synchs to a folder that you specify simply by name.. it does not go deeper and seek out the server. :)
NOTE: By default it will synch to a folder called CONTACTS This generally would make a mess since there is usually a private and a public one of those already.. so you pretty much SHOULD change the target folder. In our case we placed a folder called 'SF Public' in the public section of the Kerio server, this everyone could and automatically then see... so that solved our next issue of the shared dedicated folder.
Now all you need do is install the Linkpoint app add-in to any user that needs the SF features and ability in their outlook. Those that you add it to, can make changes in outlook that push to salesforce, and those that access SF (via the web) can make changes that then push to the synching folder that you set the dedicated acct to synch with...., and by virtue of it being a public folder.. anyone can see it's contents. You can even set the LinkPoint add-in to not delete from one direction over the other if you wanted a safety net/period.
One note... on Outlook 2013, we noticed that the dedicated account setup on the VM .. the one that does the dedicated synching action... it may (depending on your security settings) trigger a Permissions screen that you must "approve" each time.. and the max time setting option there is 10 mins. (so that would be less than useful).. so on the one acct, you gotta go to the TRUST CENTER, 'Programmatic Access' option in Outlook and tell it "never alert you"... this obviously drops some security.. but since its a VM and only running the one synching task, in outlook, attached to just Linkpoint/SF.. well, it still complies with our security mandate (barely)
Sorry for the lengthy post/reply.. hope it helps...

@digadmin: it's quite impressive to read that you actually got SF and Kerio to work together. But honestly the way it has to go to actually work is really fucked up. So sad to see that the big players (e.g. Salesforce, Outlook, Kerio) don't bother more about proper interfaces that could be used to develop connectors or even provide integration tools themselves... It seems like they just don't care.

@Preeexo - I really can't put much of this on Kerio. They've made API's publicly available, and have used documented standards (CalDAV, CardDAV, etc). If developers choose to not take advantage of that, I can't blame Kerio. It is in no small part, I'm certain, a matter of resources. Go after the biggest target. For someone developing a connector for SalesForce, that target is obviously Exchange.

iHance, sadly, does not synch contacts - so if a global shared contact list is part of the needs/requirements, then that knocks that tool out. I spoke with them and they do not have contacts or shared contacts synching on their roadmap.
