SMTP message size limit ignored [message #90384]

One of my internal users just sent me a 140MB file. I have the SMTP server "additional options" set to "limit incoming SMTP mesage size to " 40MB. Does this limit not apply to local addresses?

Yes it does. He probably used an email client, which does not use SMTP (Entourage, Outlook 2011, Kerio Outlook Connector etc.).

Any new developments on this? I just had a user send (via KOFF) a 750MB file to another (internal) user. A little sleuthing found hundreds of messages in people's mail stores that exceed the domain limit.
