I have been observing Outlook freezing during the initial mailbox synchronization already 3 months ago.
However, after the big mailbox finishes syncing, everything is OK. So this is in version 9.4.2 (6498).
I would say that the problem appeared again after some Office update!
This was here before version 10.0.0.
If it now Outlook indexes after every startup, there may be a problem.

The feedback i m getting from 2 clients is not encouraging.
Outlook is having some random freezes and also the seach bug i mentioned before is a a deal braker for them.
I need to roll back to latest version I guess....

We had the same problem with a customer who tried the update to 10 himself. As soon as larger mailboxes with KOFF are used, Outlook becomes unusable.
I am glad that I am not alone with the problem, a request to GFI via the distributor ICOS has shown that according to GFI Support no error can be found, the KOFF works correctly. (as designed).
We did a rollback.
The behavior should possibly only occur with very large mailboxes (large from GFI's point of view).
For our customers, however, mailbox sizes of >5 GB, even 20 GB are normal. (Tests with very small mailboxes show no problems in our case).

5 Gb big ?????
A normal mailbox is 20 - 100 Gb. Good to know a bout these problems; I will not upgrade my clients to version 10 as for them a 5Gb mailbox is really small.

I'had a very bad experience with V. 10 atm... on my outlook with 2 emails i have experienced freeze at first, i uninstalled kerio offline cache, rebooted and then deleted every istances of kerio in %appdata%\local, %appdata%\roaming, c:\programdata, c:\program files and c:\program files (x86), after that i installed again the offline cache outlook plugin and now i can use outlook at least.
However of my 2 email one is totaly sync and my main mail email is green trying to sync always at 90% and with cpu usage of KOFF always at 50%.
On others machine with a clean installation of koff i've resolved the issue.

Installing the KOFF Outlook Connector update on a Remote Desktop Services server requires the manual resync of each user's mailbox on the server for the search to work. We have opened a support ticket but haven't found a resolution to automatically initiate this by user.
Same slow Outlook profile open as reported by others.

The only 'quick' solution for me is deleting the cache the hard way. Close Outlook, go to "%LOCALAPPDATA%\kerio\Outlook Connector\". Here you delete the directory Outlook.* wich contain the cache for a profile. You can move it to another store for safty. This directory will be rebuild if you starting outlook.
On my local computer I don't have any trouble. After updating to V10 my cache works fine and the index ist online.
I have a customer with a terminalserver cluster and here we have trouble. The index stay offline until I delete the cache on every single server for this user und lets rebuild them. Ok, no big problem but the process ist terrible slow on larger mailboxes. Every single calender and contact object takes 3 seconds. If I count only these objects we have around 5000 object per user wich takes 4h only for contacts and calender. Then comes up a mailstore of 10K up to 100K entries. Remember: for 1 server! This process must be done on each server. The cache is not in a central roaming profile because its to big to copy them every time the user logs in (> 1GB). Now we have up to 8h rebuilding per user and this customer have 40 user. If I delete all cache files the terminal server becomes unuseable while rebuilding all the caches. I have to do it step by step for each user in the nightshift to prevent blocking the server.
GFI, please take a closer look to he cache and find out why it takes so long time for syncing calender and contacts. The is a major problem and should be fixed soon. You can test it easy with a central calender for all user wich holds around 5K entrys for 2 years.
