Hi there, today i was playing with new 9.4.2p1 and i discovered not very good thing about performance
my test setup
PC Engines APU.6B4 system board (GX-412TC quad core / 4GB / 3xGigabitLAN + 1x SFP/ Intel I211gigabit eth / Intel i210fiber
ISP A 300/20Mbit, B 100/10Mbit
clean installation 9.4.2p1 results A 200/20Mbit B 70/10Mbit
clean installation 9.3.6p1 results A 300/20Mbit B 100/10Mbit
reason why i started to test this was cause one of our customers was reconnected to ISP with 100/100 and i decided to upgrade to 9.4.2p1 but then i release this speed issue
can you please somebody test and replicate this issue? its like this new kernel cutting down perfomance in dwn about 30%...
Thank you for any info
tomorrow i will test it with much powerfull HW and i will upload results

I am trying to find an upgrade image for build 7243, to try out, as someone else has shared that the performance was blazing fast on that build compared to even the 9.3.x releases.
Anyone have a link to build 7243 upgrade image for testing purposes only?

I was that person.
After some tweeks, I now run without problems on the latest version.
First, make sure that application awareness is off - sorry to say, but this feature cripples the firewall.
Next, as I run it as an appliance on Hyper-V, turn on the nested virtualization for the appliance.
But I have to say that I never experienced problems with lines slower than 300 Mbit up and down. I use a NG100 myself on a 40Mbit line and that works perfect without any tweeks. Only faster lines (Gigabit internet) gave problems, and still do as long as IPS is on, but I understood they are working on that problem.
