We recently consolidated our GFI Mail Archiver into a single server. During the process, we found ourselves in a situation where we needed to rebuild all our search indexes. We have 46 stores ad 46 indexes. GFI recommends rebuilding them one at a time. Each one takes approximately 3 hours.
The issue is that the user must manually initiate the rebuild of each store index. If the user prefers 8 continuous hours of sleep, it is not possible for the indexes to build through the entire night. Ideally, the user should be able to rebuild the indexes for all stores in the least possible amount of time. This would require the ability for the system to queue the rebuilding of all but on 1 index at a time. The user would select multiple stores, select continue indexing (if paused) or rebuild index, and the process would then be carried out in chronological order of the archive stores, newest to oldest.
