Kerio Connect 9.3.1p1 was released March 19. It's now October 26. More than 7 months later. And this was just a small patch for 9.3.1, released in Januari.
So what exactly are we paying software maintenance for? The only thing being maintained here is GFI's revenue stream.

And since they changed our once perpetual licenses to expiring licenses, you can't just stop paying for your SWM, because your server wil stop working.

If GFI isn't going to announce any new releases soon, I'm thinking about checking if it wil be possible to restore my license to a previous, non-expiring license, and stop paying for SWM.
This will probably mean I have to go back a few releases on my servers, but it's not like there were any big changes in the last 2 years or so.

Really disappointed. Feeling screwed over by GFI big time.

You may see an update in November including these items:

- 2FA for Admin, WebMail and Kerio connect client (with changed notes ,expiration times and built in admin 2FA behavior)
- Application passwords (KOFF, IMAP etc.)
- TLS version selection in admin console
- Integrated „Let´s encrypt „ certificates
- Support of description on HTML format in KOFF calendar events
- Information about Kerio connect Sync application replaced to 3rd party app on the integration page
- Minor bug fixes

GFI stumbled with their Kerio acquisition but it finally appears they are making development progress to get the product moving forward again.

What are your sources? How do you know these features will be coming out?

Check out the GFI Insider Program on Google Groups (https://groups.google.com/g/gfi-insider - I think this will get you there) and you will see a posting from Josef Kacala on Oct 18/19 regarding the Beta of 9.4.

Hope this helps.

I'm also in the GFI Insider channel, and I'm not so optimistic about it. If there is a release in November, I expect some patch versions afterwards, as there has been poor exchange with the beta testers.
There will definitely be a new release at some point. However, we are now light years away from the level of service Kerio Technologies once offered us. In the last available beta version, Kerio Connect uses a Java runtime from mid-2019, of which there is a freely available list of security vulnerabilities that have since been closed. Except for TLS 1.3, there have only been bug fixes or adaptations to current operating systems since the acquisition by GFI. We are now actively looking for an alternative for Kerio Connect to avoid having to continue with this quality of support.

We are specialists for migrations from AVM KEN! 4 and David from Tobit.Software to Kerio Connect.

We have also now given up on Kerio after 10 years of use and are in the process of evaluating alternatives. Kerio Connect may rise from the ashes at some point, my guess when the parent company dumps Kerio when it ceases to generate cash for them and it then either goes open source and/or someone serious about developing the software takes control, assuming of course there's anything left to salvage.

Updates do not seem to be a priority....
Seems like they let the certificate for updates.gfi.com expire.
In fact the whole site is down down down.

So..still no updates. Still no Let's Encrypt support. Still paying for software maintenance. Still getting nothing in return. GFI really is going to milk every last drop out of Kerio Connect, so it seems.
