Hi,
we are before migrating to new server (new modern HW) from VMware virtual machine on Windows Server 2008R2.

I'm considering to run new server on linux. But I have no experiences with Connect running on linux OS. Are there some disadvantages against Windows? I've tested linux version of Connect before 12 years ago, and there was missing authentication with MS AD domain that we use.

I will be happy for any answers.

Thanx.

We have no customers with their Kerio systems connected to AD so I cannot comment on that but as for running on Linux we have been on CentOS for well past a decade now and I cannot say that this has ever kept any of us up at night. No unexpected updates, patches that blow up in our faces, or other traumatic experiences with our single purpose mail server systems hosted on Linux. The most complicated exercise has been upgrading from 32 to 64 bit with larger mail stores.

I hope this minimum of information helps.

David
