More and more of our employees are signing out a laptop and connecting to their desktop via RDS and the company VPN. There are several people doing that now, and I'd like to reclaim the desktop computers and put the users on a Windows RDS server. The sticky point is that historically, the offline connector (KOFF) does not play well in multi-user environments. I've not tried it in quote a few years, and wanted to check to see if this is still the case. The RDS server is virtualized, so RAM and disk storage are not an obstacle. Outlook is the only option for e-mail (no kerio client, or other program), and running OutLook on the laptop while having the RDS session open is too clunky for saving file attachments, copy/paste and so forth.
If RDS is not really an option, I'd appreciate any input on what folks are doing now (as long as the word 'cloud' is not in the description).
