Hi All,

I have been looking at switching over from the Kerio web-based client to something like Apple Mail or Outlook. I've been trying to run the integration/connector on my Macbook Pro running Catalina. I found this article that gives the step by step instructions on how to set up the integration (Configuring-the-Kerio-Connect-Account-Assistant-on-macOS) and, when I got the error message on the client installation, I found this article that's supposed to address the problem (Unable-to-Install-Kerio-Connect-Assistant-on-macOS-Catalina ). Unfortunately this did not solve the issue.

Is there a way to integrate the rules in Apple Mail with the filters that are saved on the Kerio Connect server, without running the integration client? Basically, I want to be able to set up new rules or edit existing ones inside of Apple Mail and not have to switch over to the web version to do so.

Thanks in advance,

Dave

Dave,

The integration tool doesn't tie the rules in Apple Mail to the server. It just populates the fields for accounts in Mail, Calendar, Contacts, etc.

The integration installer has been broken for a while. It's really just as fast to do the setup by hand.

And, you don't get funky side effects like a replicating Outbox when you enter the data by hand.

Cheers,
Jon

Thanks Jon. Not surprising that this is the case with the assistant.

Are you aware of a way of integrating the Apple Mail rules with the rules stored on the Kerio server? (Or even Microsoft Outlook on Mac integrating rules with the server rules.)

Thanks,

Dave

Apple Mail can't integrate or edit the rules/filters created with Connect Client or Webmail. They are running serverside and are executed no matter which Mail-app is used.
Apple Mail can only create local rules and the app has to be started to execute these own rules (not recommended for Out-of-Office replies).
