Is there a recommended fax rate in GFI that is considered best practice? We are working with our telecom vendor on some phone system issues and one of the things they found is our fax rate is not set the same across the board in our system. The main lines are set to 14400 but some of the dial peers are set to 9600.

Hi

all lines should use the same rate, but the rate depends on the hardware/software being used.

Are you using SR140?

SR140 shoud accept the maximum of 14400, so if the line/hardware supports that you can use that value.
