Hi,
I have seen some other threads on this subject but not this specifically.
I jave an NG500 box with the latest software version at this time, ie. 9.3.4 build 3795.
Over the last 3 months or so i have received the memory alert email. after about 3-4 weeks of uptime, stating:
Low memory
Event description
Firewall: control.mycompany.com
Memory usage: 95%
This chart shows the most recent iteration of the problem...

The only way I have found to fix this is to restart the server, If I ignore (or miss) the alert, memory use increases to a point where the box locks up, network connectivity is lost and I have to go onsite and make a hard restart using the power button.
Is there anything I can delete or un-cache to relieve the memory?
Thanks,
ft.

at this time, with Covid, there are about 30 users behind the firewall. usually there may be 40.
in case it matters users do not need specific accounts at get through the firewall from the LAN.
there is a lot more VPN use right now with maybe 6 -7 concurrent connections for long periods.
thanks,
ft.

Try turning off IPS/application detection (under content filter > enable application awareness) and then restart it back. It should restart snort (intrusion protection) and give you some extra time between reboots. Not a solution, just a bandaid when you can't reboot immediately
Also, if you get a chance, can you ssh in the server and run top. It would be interesting to see what is causing the problem. I have had fbserver consuming large amounts of cpu/ram and had to reinstall and apply backup which fixed the problem.
