Hello

Does anyone know a method for a user to set up a Kerio filter that will spam all messages containing cyrillic?

Thanks in advance.

If you are unhappy with Cyrillic spam the easiest way to block Cyrillic is to enable the Bayesian Filter. Such emails will easily be classified as spam by this filter.

However, if you want to do this the manual way I see two options.

Spam Filter ... Custom Rules
Create a rule with 1 Cyrillic word. You can simply google lists for Popular Cyrillic words and take a couple of the top. One word needs to be in one rule and match it for the body.

/index.php?t=getfile&id=5054&private=0

Content Filter ... Message Filter
Create a rule that will match Cyrillic characters in the subject. You need to specify both uppercase and lowercase. You can pick the common characters.

/index.php?t=getfile&id=5055&private=0

A 3rd option would be to use GFI MailEssentials. There we have a specific language filter, that can identify that an email is written in Cyrillic and block it.

Hope this helps.
