Lately, a lot more mails have been tagged as spam than before. I noticed that my Kerio adds 2.50 for SPF soft failure which brings up the score.I used to have SPF on but only to report to log and not add any points, now I turned it off completely but Kerio still adds 2.5 points. What is going on here!? Bug? I'm on 9.2.8 patch 1 (4407), Mac OS X.
Example, false SPAM.
X-Spam-Status: Yes, hits=4.0 required=2.5
tests=SPF: 2.50 - Soft Failure, KERIO_ANTI_SPAM: -0.000, AWL: 0.000,
BAYES_50: 1.567, HTML_MESSAGE: 0.001, TOTAL_SCORE: 4.068,autolearn=no

X-SPAM is AFAIK not from Kerio (this would be Kerio Anti Spam) but from Spam Assassin in Kerio
Personally I would use SPF like mad (and do so), because if SPF fails, it means the mail shouldn't be legit or the sender has an error and the latter should be most unlikely.
Take a look at the mails that are market with a SPF fail and try those domains/servers against mxtoolbox.com and their SPF check. Maybe inform their Admin.
You can be 99% sure, if SPF fails, it IS a bad mail. This is the best protection to check if someone is sending mails in another persons name.
