Hi,
our customer is planning his own mail server for approximate 1000 email adresses/users. Is a KERIO Environment able to host this big number. If so what are the hardware requirements (distributed over more than one server?)
Thanks in advance.

Evaluate the environment past the user count:
- Will there be mail box size limits?
- How many total messages?
- Geographically separated offices?
- Shared folders?
- Virtualized or bare iron?
To be honest, right out of the gate I would probably advise having a distributed domain, even if it's over multiple servers in the main office. (Personally, I would avoid MultiServer, but that's just me). Virtualization makes sense, especially if you want high availability. No matter the number of servers, disk performance is your enemy, so be sure to invest in that.
Hosted Kerio may also be the appropriate solution here. I'm no expert on that, but I'm sure others will chime in.
