Hi all,
Currently we have Kerio Datastore on the server's local disks. The server have 8 SAS 15K rpm disks, we have an IBM Storage server (Storwize V5000) wich support 8GB Fiber Channel connection, but it can be upgraded to 10GB iSCSI too. My question is, it would be better use 8GB Fiber channel or 10 GB iSCSI for Kerio Datastore?, I know that using iSCSI is cheeper than Fiber Channel, but what about efficiency? Have some of you used 10GB iSCSI connection to Kerio Data? Our datastore is about 2TB and is almost full, that's why we need to move it to the Storage Server, we have almost 400 users working with Outlook Kerio Offline Connector.

IMHO it won't really matter, iSCSI would be as fine as Fieber channel in this case. KOFF with Outlook creates a local cache on the client system for the mails, so the impact on the server itself is minimal. Unless all users decide the resync their outlook at the same time 
I would suggest you look at the I/O you have and record it some time, so you get a real feeling, how much I/O you need. I believe, it will be quite lower then you thing it is

I haven't been using Kerio in both iSCSI and FC environments, but I have seen the difference between iSCSI and FC with several VMware environments.
I would almost say that you cannot compare both, FC is much faster.
One of my customers recently changed their infrastructure, they went from iSCSI between servers and storage to FC. With iSCSI the servers sometimes had to wait for the storage device, now their servers are the bottleneck...
